Kaylee Law, graduate of Mt. San Antonio College, Grand Canyon University, and Johns Hopkins University, running for Walnut City Council to improve quality of life for residents
(Walnut, CA) – Kaylee Law announced today her run for Walnut City Council member. She is one of the youngest college graduates in the nation, with three associates from Mt. San Antonio College, continuing on to receive her bachelor’s at Grand Canyon University, and graduating with her master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University.
“Born and raised in Walnut, I owe it to my family, friends, neighbors, and community to improve this village that raised me. I am happy to announce my run for Walnut City Council, I will represent Walnut by keeping safety a priority, protecting green space, and supporting youth opportunity, together we can create a better, safer, community.”
Law has experienced throughout the years how Walnut has changed and grown. Law is currently an operations director for the Purist Group and Youth Director of the Chinese-American Association of Walnut. She has been volunteering in the community with the Purist Group and has recently assisted the Chinese American Association of Walnut with operations.
She has extensive experience with event organizing, working with local communities, and political figures. Seeing new opportunities for a better community, she hopes that her new ideas will bring fresh spirit to the quality of life in Walnut. Additionally, Law has experience in the field of legal administration, previously working at the Law Offices of James Wang and having published government and legal research at Johns Hopkins University. Other government experience Law has, was serving in the first-ever Model Constitutional Convention as the presiding secretary at Arizona State University Law School.
“I hope I can count on your vote in 2024. I vow to bring a better quality of life to Walnut by bringing the community together. The most important thing as an elected official is to ensure that the community needs are heard and met, elected officials are meant to be an extension of the people, not running for their interests.”
Law concluded that she needed to run after the past 2022 election ended with appointments due to the lack of candidates. Law states “My purpose is to improve safety, protect the green spaces in our community, and support youth opportunities. I hope that Walnut will choose me to serve them.”
